We can’t wait for football season to begin already. As Buffalo Bills Fans know, every season is a test of loyalty. But not for The Kernal. As long as there is a Streaking Buffalo on the helmet. a loyal Bills Fan I will be. Now that the 2013 NFL Draft is completed, a new sense of enthusiasm is filling the air. New Coach in Doug Marrone, New CEO in Russ Brandon, a newly energized GM in Buddy Nix and most important of all, a new Quarterback in EJ Manual. The Bills drafted EJ with their first pick in the draft. While many top draft prognosicators scoffed at the choice that early in the draft, I was hoping personally, after watching videos of the higher rated quarterbacks in the draft, that EJ Manual was THE choice for the Bills to make. Now remember where you heard it first … EJ Manual will be named the starting quarterback for the Bills going into the 2013 season. It would make no sense not to start him after making him their number one choice. With prototype physical size, great speed for a quarterback and a strong, accurate arm to battle the elements in Buffalo, he has all the tools to lead Buffalo for years to come. Followed up by being a “cerebral”, smart prospect and a work ethic that will endear him to his coaches and fans for years to come. While like other rookies, EJ may make his share of mistakes and he will have much to learn, he has one quality that endears him to me more that anything. He wants to play in Buffalo. Attracted to an Offensive system introduced to him by Marrone and Offensive coordinator Nathanial Hackett during the scouting process, he admitted hoping Buffalo would draft him. Plus he has already immersed himself in the Buffalo culture with a message to the fans about his excitement for the opportunity to play for the Bills. By adding EJ Manual as the new face of the Buffalo Bills, along with CJ Spiller, Stevie Johnson and a new attitude on defense, let’s Get Out the Popcorn Bills Fans and get ready for an exciting season. Playoffs anyone?
